Manuele (Manu) Tamò is a Principal Scientist – Entomologist – working at IITA in Benin, where he also serves as IITA Country Representative and Head of the IITA-Benin station. He joined IITA in 1987 as associate expert for the Swiss Development Cooperation, and since 1994 he has been assigned various management and coordinating roles within IITA, including the leadership of the Plant Health Management Program from Dec 2001 to April 2006, and being IITA focal point for the different phases of the CGIAR Research Program on Grain Legumes.
