Benjamin Abugri is a Project and Knowledge Management Specialist from Ghana, based in Accra. He works as a Knowledge Management, Learning and Communications Cluster Lead Specialist with the Forum for Agricultural Research in Africa (FARA).

At FARA, Benjamin is responsible for developing and implementing knowledge management and communications strategies that support research and development in agriculture across the African continent. He works to streamline information management systems, facilitate knowledge sharing, and create tools and platforms that improve communication, networking, and collaboration among the stakeholders in the agricultural industry in Africa. He is the initiator of the Knowledge Management for Agricultural Development (KM4AgD), an educational, innovative, and transformational approach to Knowledge Management for sustainable development.


Benjamin has extensive experience in knowledge management, having worked on various projects and with diverse organizations across Africa for the past 15 years of which 10 years have been with senior management roles. These organizations include USAID Projects, World Vision International, Anglican Relief Service and one with the private sector. He is also a published author, with papers and articles on knowledge management, multi-stakeholder partnerships, gender-based communications and agricultural research to his credit. Benjamin's expertise is instrumental in helping to move the agriculture industry in Africa forward, making it more innovative, effective, and efficient.


Bachelor’s degree in education and accounting, a master’s degree in strategic and project Management, and postgraduate certificates in knowledge management, Monitoring and evaluation from the University of Cape Coast, University for Development Studies both in Ghana, and the Paris Graduate School of Management (France) and Knowledge Management Academy (Austria), amongst others.
