In the ever-changing landscape of agriculture and food systems, knowledge is power. The ability to access and exploit expert knowledge can drive innovation, policy development and sustainable agricultural practices. In West and Central Africa, a powerful tool has emerged to meet these important needs: the “Expert Directory” platform.

The “Expert Directory” was developed by FARA (Forum for Agricultural Research in Africa) for CORAF (West and Central African Council for Agricultural Research and Development) as part of the Letter d’Accord (LoA). serves as an important knowledge management tool to support agricultural research and innovation in West and Central Africa. The platform is an essential component of the CAADP-XP4 project, jointly implemented by FARA, CORAF, AFAAS, ASARECA and CCARDESA and financially supported by the European Union and by the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD) manage.

The Expert Directory platform is a beacon of knowledge, collaboration, and innovation. It provides agricultural stakeholders with the expertise they need to drive progress and sustainable development in the region. With a commitment to knowledge sharing, capacity building and continuous improvement, FARA and CORAF are leading the way towards a better future for agriculture in Africa.
